Call the Volunteer Connection and they can have you hit the ground running when you get here.We have been so fortunate with all of the support so far, but it is going to be a long time to full recovery. Many people in the area were very surprised and caught off guard when the town flooded, many did not have flood insurance, believing it was not needed. Remember, this was a freak weather event, many different odd events came together to cause this massive flooding in Ottawa, Ohio and surrounding area.Over 75% of the buildings and private residences in the Village of Ottawa, had major or massive damage in this flood.
