PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION
  1. NOTE:  There will be no rescues after 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 9th.
  2. Sand bags will be available at the Municipal Garage located at 1323 N. Defiance Street.
  3. There will be an employee stationed at the Municipal Garage 24 hours per day until the flood event subsides.
  4. Move valuable items to a higher level.
  5. Bring unsecured landscape items inside.  Landscaping decorations can create hazardous floating debris during a flood.
  6. Move vehicles to one of the following designated high ground parking areas:                   
    YMCA — 1720 North Perry (park closer to North Perry)
    Putnam County Fairgrounds – 1490 East Second Street
    Goodwill– 820 North Locust (park closer to street)
    Educational Service Center — 124 Putnam Parkway
    Former Philips Lot (high area)- 700 North Pratt Street
    Council on Aging — 1425 East Fourth Street
    Ottawa-Glandorf High School-630 Glendale Avenue 
    Ottawa Highland Lanes — 1895 East Fourth Street
    W.C. Woods Parking Lot — 677 Woodland Drive
  7. Members of the public are warned to NEVER venture into flooded areas.  Do NOT drive through areas of water across a roadway.
