OttawaFlood.com - A Disaster Relief project from citizens, for citizens of Putnam County
Mission Statement: To provide the quickest means to finding the relevant flood related info and point people via telephone numbers, web addresses and volunteer contacts to get the help to the people who need it, as well as show and explain succinctly to the outside world the help that is desperately needed from the Ottawa townspeople and surrounding severely flooded areas.
Obviously, a web page is of no help to a person without a computer or electricity. At the very bottom of each of these web pages, click on "Print View" and it will give you a very easy page to print out without the formatting, just the information. Please consider printing some or all of the web pages for a friend, relative, neighbor, flood victim and giving them a copy. What good are the services available to them if they don't even know they exist and have no way to contact them? Please consider posting this page on any bulletin board you know of.

There is a fund set up at Fort Jennings State Bank to send donation to victims of the flood. Please contact or send monetary donations to:

FEMA pulled out of the local Ottawa Office on September 27, But the last day to register for aid with FEMA was October 26, 2007. The FEMA Representatives all stressed to register with FEMA if there is any doubt of water damage. It is better to register and not need the assistance, than the alternative, to have not registered and then need the assistance. Unfortunately, you are not able to register with FEMA unless you have registered initially prior to the cut off date.
The last day the SBA will have an office to get help at the ESC building, on Putnam Parkway in Ottawa will be
November 8, 2007.
Over and over, it is said that if FEMA or SBA denies any benefit, you should ALWAYS follow up, often times their are circumstances or incorrect information causing issues that cause the denial. So don't give up on the first try, try again, and again if you need to. See more contact detail on "I Need Help" page.
